Why do I perform lab work prior to each visit?
You will be asked to perform lab work prior to each visit in order for the nephrologists to be able to tell you how your kidneys are functioning at the time of your visit. It is also imperative to have this information to further evaluate and treat your kidney disease.
Why can I not see the same physician every time?
Our nephrologists cover a large area of Houston including ____ dialysis units, ___ hospitals, and 7 clinics. Our physicians are responsible members for the teaching services, renal services, and heart and renal transplant program. They are also actively involved with the Texas Heart Institute at St. Luke’s Hospital which provides them the opportunity to bring this knowledge and experience to the out-lying community.
Why do I need to bring my medication list to each visit?
It is important for you to bring your medications or medication list to each visit in order for the nephrologists to adjust your medications as needed based on your evaluation.
